Living Bonds was developed as an independent garden with a close relationship to a neighboring project by the studio. The two properties share an access point, so the design needed to feel complete on its own while still creating a natural dialogue with the landscape next door.

The design used xerophytic plant communities selected for the climate, the site, and the architectural setting. Heights, densities, and textures were arranged to create variation within the garden while keeping the planting appropriate for local conditions.

More than 600 plants were incorporated across 54 m², giving the space structure and depth without disconnecting it from the neighboring landscape that inspired the project.
